Kundalini Shakti and Shat Chakra

For a yogi sadhak (disciple), Yoga practice and Kundalini awakening are closely related to each other. In a normal person kundalini remains asleep. Only a yogi sadhak gets yog siddhi after piercing the Shat Chakra through special yogic kriya with the blessing of his Satguru Dev Ji.

Veda describes this power as “Bramha Shakti” which is omni present in the whole universe. This Brahma Shakti is not separate from Lord Brahma, just as the light from fire is not separate from it. This Bramh Shakti is described in veda in many different ways. It is also called “Pra Shakti”. The Pra Shakti, when it wants to multiply into different powers or Shankti, then it is called “Maha Shakti”. So this Pra Shankti multiplies to
1.Brahmi Shakti
2.Vaishnavi Shakti
3.Rudhar Shakti
These are responsible for generation, operation and destruction of the universe respectively. We can see this Maha Shakti in daily life in different ways in the form of different small powers for example one is the waves in the sea. Ultimately this Maha Shakti is the stable form of Brahm Shanki which we feel in this universe. This ultimate power is named by different devta in different ways. For e.g. Devi, Maha Devi, Shiva, Nature, Bhadra, Rudra, Nitva, Gori, Dharti and Shakti. This same power in living being is called “Jeevni Shakti” or “Pran Shakti”. In shastras, the centre of Pran Shakti is “Kundalini Shakti”. As anant naag (serpant) supports the earth and forms its base. Similarly kundalini shakti is the base of all the living processes in human beings. Thus whole power of the body is kundalini shakti and it is present in kundalini. Kundalini shakti is awake in the child before birth in its mother’s womb. As soon as the child is born, the kundalini shakti goes to sleeping state. A yogi sadhak with the blessings of his Satguru is able to awake this kundalini through various yogic sadhanas, pranayam and after piercing the Shat Chakra in the sushumna nerve, reaches sahastrar and pray for his spiritual upliftment. When he is able to do so with his Satguru Dev’s blessing he feels obliged to see his real self and becomes free from cycle of death and birth.

Kundalini shakti is situated at the lower end of the spinal cord. In the spinal cord, there are two types of nerves: Ida and Pingla and in between these there is an other very fine the nerve called Sushumna. At the lower end, sushumna nerve encircles itself three and a half times and remains asleep with its tale in its mouth, like a snake.

Kundalini shakti is situated in the Yoni Mandal i.e. area between the anus and scrotum, above the perineum wall, where it encircles the lower end of sushumna nerve three and a half time and remains asleep with its tale in its mouth.

We should consider the kundalini shakti as the ultimate power of God. This power shines like gold and is not afraid of anything. This power is responsible for the nature and various properties of human system. For e.g. Satogun, Tamogun and Rajogun. With the blessings of Satguru dev ji, a yogi disciple penetrates the sushumna nerve after awakening the kundalini shakti. Then he pierces the various chakras in the sushumna nerve , i.e. Shat Chakra and enters the Sahastrar also called as Dashvan Dwar and becomes free from the three taaps, three loans (rin) and three defects (dosh)
